“Antioxidants”. “Activated”. “Clean”. “Cold-pressed”. These are just a few of the major buzzwords associated with health at the moment. Words like these tend to magically clear our conscience when making choices about our health, but how many of us actually know what they mean?

Here at Peaches Fresh, you guys know we like to keep it simple, so we’re broken down a few ingredients in some of the Pukka Organic Tea we have in stock, and provided you with some info about what the heck these ingredients actually do.

Wanting better heart health? According to lifehack.org, a 2009 research paper investigating tea consumption and risk of stroke found that people who consume up to 3 cups of green and black tea per day had a 21% lower risk of a stroke than people who consume little to no tea of either variety.

Made from a shrub called Camellia sinensis and harvested by Pukka in Vietnam, the black tea used in their rich English Breakfast teas, is a great place to start for the novice herbal tea drinker.

Digestive trouble? Soothe your stomach and aid your digestive fire with aniseed! Sourced from organic farmers in Turkey, aniseed is found in the detox and after dinner Pukka Teas.

Looking to relax and recharge? Look no further than chamomile, an ingredient used in Night Time and Relax. Chamomile is a flower used in herbal traditions since the time of ancient Egyptians to help soothe and relax.

Although further research needs to take place to confirm the physical health benefits of herbal tea, the therapeutic benefits of a cup of tea are undeniable. Like a warm hug in a cup, taking 5-10 minutes out of your day to mindfully indulge in a cup of tea, no matter what herbal concoction, can often help focus your mind, even if just for a few seconds to recharge your thoughts and your self.

Pukka are not just good for your body and mind, turns out their ethical focus and value of people, planet and planets, which means they’ve got your soul covered too.

Who’d have guessed a few herbs, placed together in some filter paper bound by string could have so many benefits!

Come and get yours today.
